The program often brags that it can go almost undetected, but the truth is it often does not go undetected.
Here are some things that will raise alarms, and how to solve them.
First it is a program that does not work properly, so, you should uninstall it. It may or may not affect your hearing.
VLC or VLC Stream
Next, if you are using VLC, then you need to disable its “Screen Casting” option. Next, if you open VLC and select Video Menu and choose Preferences, then you should turn off the “Playlist” option, and the “Video Menu” option. Then restart VLC. Your ability to hear your music with VLC should be greatly improved.
Most programs can work with anything, including music and Internet. For this, you should turn off all the options under the Connectivity tab that say “Network Stream” or “Network Playback”.
If you are using the Music Store, then you have to uncheck “Automatically Download New Music”. If you are using an iPod, then you have to uncheck “Automatically sync music from the iPod”. If you have a custom ringtone, then you have to delete it.
In Settings, under General>Software Update, make sure that “Updates” is set to “Only check for updates”. This can be annoying if you forget to do it.
Since your iPhone will be looking for updates, be sure to have your information stored on another computer. A Windows computer would be the best, since you will be doing a lot of things with that.

Very cool, but I also have an idea on how to improve the sensitivity.
Since the sample rate is fixed, consider changing the resolution to sample rate/2, for instance, in which case the audio should start and end at a much more regular interval, and also allow you to accurately detect the waveform.
Rearrange the blocks of the audio around the frequency of interest. This will often yield an improvement in sensitivity.
Change the sample rate.

What’s New in the?
The HearTest application was designed to be a simple utility that will test your hearing range. I made sure to eliminate as many ‘clicks’ as possible, so you can’t falsely claim you hear a frequency when you actually don’t.
This program plays at CD quality. For high frequencies, it will work best with headphones or your speakers (with the same set volume settings). If you can hear over 17500hz, then you’ve got better hearing (or better headphones) than me. Older people often can’t hear above 13000hz.
A simple application to measure your hearing range.
The HearTest application plays at CD quality, so you won’t hear any of the noise (so don’t worry about that).
How to use it:
First start the application, and it’ll ask you to select the sound source. For example, if it’s on the computer, you can choose the Microphone, the Speakers or the headphones. Once you’ve chosen the sound source, press ‘Test’ to start the test.
After the test has finished, you can choose the test to view the results. You can view one of the 3 type of tests by pressing the ‘Test’ button. The first is called the Low Frequency, which plays all frequencies between 500Hz and 8000Hz. The second is called the High Frequency, which plays all frequencies between 8000Hz and 16000Hz. The third test is called the Wideband, which plays all frequencies between 500Hz and 16000Hz.
You can also choose to view the results in percentages (as shown below). The percentages are based on your hearing capacity at that point. For example, if you hear no frequency at all, then you’ll have 100% at that point. If you hear frequencies, then your percentage will be lower.
You can also choose to view the results in decibels.
To exit, press ‘Exit’ button.
The test will be the same no matter where you start the application from.
The percentages are only based on frequencies you hear. You can hear frequencies you can’t hear, and therefore you can’t have a 100% on the High Frequency.
The High Frequency test is the hardest, and it’s best to have good headphones to listen. You can hear frequencies that are above 17500hz, but they might not sound as good as they should.
